A bank holiday in France. In any case, for some people, a celebratory day at Villa Heidetuin. On 14 July we held our 2nd table d'hôte evening of this year. A successful evening where we were able to delight our guests with an amuse-bouche of truffle de foie gras with cocoa. Followed by a delicious oeuf en cocotte, followed by a dégustation de soupe. For the main course, guests could choose between confit de duck or a matelote, both served with, of course, homemade sauces. These dishes were served with pommes gratinées dauphinier and one chef's salad with rocket, cucumber and lentils, among other things. Accompanied by our delicious house wines, we concluded with a combination of a selection of French cheeses, Crusio ice cream, fresh Brabant walnuts, strawberries and a delicious crème brûlée from Villa Heidetuin. After a cup of delicious Catunambu coffee, some guests went home satisfied while the guests staying in our B&B sought out their rooms. Fulfilled and content. And us too, of course! Next evening, 14 August!
